1. Agreement to negotiate a legal framework covering all major emitters. Negotiations to finish by 2015 and new agreement to take effect from 2020. The document calls for a "legal instrument or an agreed outcome with legal force with coverage under the convention applicable to all parties";

Various national media organizations reaffirmed their commitment of support Friday last week to the government's pursuit of mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation programs and strategies in the country. Herminio “Sonny” Coloma, Jr. Secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) read and subsequently turned over the four page Philippine Media Declaration on Climate Change to President Benigno C. Aquino III pledging concerted action to effect public awareness and pursue a nationwide advocacy for Climate Change Adaptation and mitigation.

The Province of Albay similarly congratulates Lgu Sto Domingo Albay for placing 2nd in the MDRRMC category, Legazpi City for placing 2nd in the CDRRMC category and BRTTH also 2nd in the tertiary hospital category!

Indeed, on its 3rd consecutive year of national recognition as the best province in disaster risk reduction and mangement, Albay has proven that it is the safest province of the country.- safe for tourists, traders and investors, and safe for its own people!
